The heartbreaking video shows rubbish strewn on the beaches of Henderson Island, an uninhabited British territory in the South Pacific Ocean which measures just six miles long by three miles wide but is covered in more plastic rubbish than anywhere else on the globe. Despite being more than 3,100 miles from the nearest population centre, scientists found the island contained 671 pieces of plastic rubbish per square metre- with nearly 3,600 new pieces washing up each day on one beach alone.
