  • Caption: Pic from Caters News - (Pictured: Pooja with family in hospital.) - This is the stomach-churning moment doctors in India have removed a three pound HAIRBALL from the stomach of a teenage girl. Pooja, who goes by one name, was suffering from Trichophagia or Rapuzel Syndrome, an extremely rare intestinal condition in humans resulting from ingesting hair. The 14-year-old had been complaining of severe abdominal pain and had been throwing up whatever meal was forced fed to her. She had lost her appetite and was extremely weak. While her parents took medical help from various doctors, there was no improvement in her condition. However, when last week she again complained of excruciating pain in stomach, her parents brought to RN Pandey Hospital, a private clinic in Gonda in Uttar Pradesh.
