A graffiti vigilante has painted a new 20mph speed limit onto his road to deter speeding drivers - and said facing a criminal damage fine was better than paying for a funeral. The frustrated dad-of-five took matters into his own hands to slow traffic on the 30mph Percy Street in Wallasey, Merseyside, after witnessing motorbikes driving down the road at speeds of up to 100mph.
So the 39-year-old turned guerrilla to daub the four huge signs directly onto the tarmac after council bosses said the area was not a priority for speed bumps. SEE MERCURY COPY - Mercury Press & Media//CATERSNEWSAGENCY_MPM-20_MPH_STREET-1/1909111418/Credit:CATERS/SIPA/1909111421
