This daredevil OAP has been dubbed the original thrill seeker after revealing a dramatic photo of him RIDING Liverpools iconic 185ft Liver birds - without a harness. Retired painter and decorator Henry Kerrigan, 73, believes he is the only man to have ever sat atop the famous birds wearing no safety equipment whatsoever - and certainly the only person to have posed for a picture while doing so. Seizing the opportunity to make some extra cash, scouser Henry, then 27, offered to make the perilous clamber for a bonus half weeks pay while working on the building in June 1972 after his company was quoted an eye-watering ?8,000 to erect extra scaffolding around the birds.
